Thank You and God Bless You!
Dear Father Woody’s Volunteers and Financial and Prayer Supporters:
Each year nearly 4,000 people are welcomed with great love and care to the Father Woody Christmas Party. Please keep our guests in your prayers as their need continues to be significant in this difficult time in our nation. Please consider volunteering at Father Woody’s Haven of Hope, which provides care, hospitality and nourishing meals to nearly 200 homeless people every day. Help is always needed! A schedule of volunteer opportunities is posted on the Father Woody Haven of Hope website.
We are grateful for the financial support, donations of presents, and help at the wrap parties that helps the party run so smoothly. We have already been blessed with an abundance of volunteers for this year’s party. Regretfully, we are not able to accomodate more volunteers this year.
May our Newborn King bless you and yours in every way in the coming year!

About Father Woody
Msgr. Charles Bert Woodrich, better known as “Father Woody,” spent the better part of his life offering assistance and support to the less fortunate of our city. He was a co-founder of Samaritan House and was the pastor of several churches in the Denver metro area before his death in 1991.
His indelible legacy continues on through scholarships, outreach programs and through the new Father Woody Haven of Hope, which bears his name. His commitment to helping the downtrodden is vastly eminent through the namesake luncheon, which is sponsored by Holy Ghost Church, The Archdiocese of Denver, Daniels Fund, Regis University and the Adam’s Mark Hotel Denver.
The first luncheon was hosted in 1981 at Cathedral High School and has since outgrown its previous locations to find a new home at the Sheraton Hotel.
In addition, other organizations and local businesses donate gifts for the many who attend, along with a host of volunteers from Holy Ghost Church, Catholic Charities Samaritan House, The Archdiocese of Denver, Daniels Fund, and Regis University.
